Here’s a plug-and-play shipping policy for Shopify. This one’s written for US-based stores selling pet supplements, but you can tweak the timelines and pricing.

We process and ship orders quickly so your pet doesn’t have to wait.

1. Processing Time

  • Orders placed before 2pm PT, Mon-Fri: Ship same business day
  • Orders after 2pm PT or weekends: Ship next business day
  • During sales/holidays: Allow up to 2 business days for processing

You’ll get a tracking email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Delivery times are estimates and start after your order ships, not when you place it.

3. International Shipping
We currently ship to Canada, UK, and Australia.

  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on weight + destination
  • Delivery: 7-14 business days
  • Duties/taxes: International customers are responsible for any customs fees. We’re not liable for packages held or rejected by customs

4. Order Tracking
A tracking link is emailed when your order ships. If tracking shows “Delivered” but you don’t have it, wait 24 hours and check with neighbors/mailroom. Still missing? Email us at support@yourstore.com within 7 days and we’ll help.

5. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages

  • Damaged on arrival: Snap photos and email us within 7 days. We’ll ship a replacement free
  • Lost in transit: If tracking hasn’t updated in 5 days, we’ll file a claim and reship your order
  • Marked “Delivered” but missing: USPS/UPS sometimes marks early. Wait 24 hours. If still missing, we’ll reship or refund

6. PO Boxes + APO/FPO
We ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses via USPS Standard only. Expedited not available. Allow 5-10 business days for delivery.

7. Subscription Orders
Subscriptions always ship free via Standard shipping. You can upgrade to Expedited in your account portal for $8/month. Orders process 1-2 days before your renewal date.

8. Address Changes
Need to update your address? Email support@yourstore.com ASAP. We can change it if the order hasn’t shipped. Once shipped, we can’t reroute packages.

9. Holiday + Weather Delays
Major holidays and severe weather can delay carriers. We’ll email you if we expect a delay over 48 hours.
